DART Experiment Blocks
DART technology simplifies the analysis of samples in a wide range of disciplines by removing sample preparation and providing results in seconds. Our experiment blocks were designed to make your setup time just as quick and easy. If we do not already have a module to fit your specific needs, we can custom design and build one to fit your experiment.
Experiment blocks are available for both the traditional DART source and our new DART-ET. The traditional source is best used for liquid samples, while the DART-ET can be used for solids and surfaces (as well as liquids). DART-ET blocks attach and self-align magnetically for easy deployment. Some blocks, such as the Tablet Carrier, are scanned using the linear rail of the DART-ET.
Traditional DART Source Blocks:
- DIP-it Holder - Sample introduction is critical for the best reproducibility. Manually place your DIP-it tip in this holder so that your sample is lined up in the same place every time.
- Dual DIP-it Holder - Keep a standard on one tip and your sample on the other.
- APCI/NCI - Introduce reagent gases into the DART ionization region to complete chemical ionization of the desorbed analyte. Integration of the closed chamber with our Vapur interface enables safe, efficient removal of the gas post-ionization.
DART-ET Blocks:

- LC/DART - provides a means to connect the output of your LC to the desorption ionization region, making LC a reality.
- Tablet Sampler - Production of devices customized to position your tablet can be completed for a fee, contact us for details about this service.
- TLC Plate Holder - This holder attaches to the DART-ET's linear rail, which can scan your sample at a constant rate.
