The iPod application communicates to your DART-SVP
controller using WiFi.
The application is updated once per second with the latest
system information.
Pressing a button in the application sends a command to the
controller.
Connecting to the SVP WiFi Signal
Ensure that the SVP is on and the WiFi kit is connected.
From the Home Screen, touch the Settings Icon.
Select the row labeled WiFi.
Choose a Network... named SVP### (where ### is the last 3
digits of the SVP serial number).
Look for the WiFi bars in the top left corner.
*The IP Address and Password are pre-configured for your
device. To use a different iPod or iPhone, please check the ip
address settings in the manual.
Starting the Application
Ensure that the SVP is on and you are connected to it (WiFi
bars in the top corner).
From the Home Screen, touch the DART icon.
If all settings are correct, the Freerun screen will become
active.
Using the Freerun Mode
Linear Rail Controls
The control panel at the top of the Freerun screen
controls Linear Rail #1 (X) and Linear Rail #2 (Y)
Touch the box with the speed to change it. Use the dial to
select a speed from 0.2 mm/s to 10.0 mm/s.
If the Left or Right arrow is dark, the rail has reached
the limit in that direction
To move the rail, press the < button for left and the
> button for right.
Note: If the movement direction appears backwards, check
the rail type in the settings.
DART Control
Off : Heater, High Voltage and Gas (if temperature is low
enough) are turned off.
Standby : N2 is turned on and the heater can be set
manually.
Run : He is turned on and the High Voltage is turned on.
He : Selects Helium gas.
N2 : Selects Nitrogen gas.
+ : Selects Positive Ion Mode.
- : Selects Negative Ion Mode.
Touch the temperature to change it. Select from 0 to 500
degrees C. Note: This is the Heater Temperature, not the
Gas Temperature.
Status Readback
Connection : The application is connected to the SVP
controller when green.
Interlock : The DART Source cable is connected when green.
High Voltage: High Voltage is running when green.
Heater Temperature : Actual heater temperature, not the
gas temperature.
